路易十五式写字台。桌面用郁金香木和王木（kingwood）的交叉镶贴（parquetry），边沿包一圈铜鎏金（ormolu / dorure au mercure）的洛可可式花边。

The brass doesn’t shine — it glows. Ormolu was never meant to be polished to mirror finish; its beauty is in the dull, warm, fat-yellow of mercury gilding.

三条腿”cabriole”弯腿，脚尖雕成蹄形（pied de biche），桌面下方中央一个小抽屉，锁孔藏着一块鎏金叶子里。这种写字台是中等贵族书房的标配，不如secrétaire à abattant 那么显赫，但更实用。
